Guide and FAQ
What happens to my log after I upload it?
Every hand is parsed and every player gets stats: VPIP, PFR, 3-bet, showdowns, aggression and results by seat. Each upload is also added to your history of the people you play, so reads on your regulars build up over time. On Pro, our AI analyzer writes the reads.
Can I replay my hands?
Yes. The replayer steps through every hand of an uploaded session, with pot odds, bet sizes, equity once cards are known, and how long each player took to act. Quiz mode stops at each of your decisions and asks what you’d do. On Pro, the AI’s notes on each street play alongside the replay.
Which file do I need, the log or the ledger?
The log has every hand and every action, so it powers analytics and AI reads. The ledger has each player’s buy-ins and cash-outs, so it’s what you need to settle up. For both, download both. See how to download your PokerNow log.
What name should I enter when I upload?
The exact name you played under in that game. Save your PokerNow names on your profile and they’re filled in for you, and your results across every game add up there.
Which games work?
No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, PLO Hi-Lo and 5-card PLO. The game is detected from the log, and every stat is judged against that game’s norms, so a 32% VPIP reads as loose in Hold’em and normal in Omaha.
What’s free, and what needs a plan?
Hand history analysis, the replayer, player stats, settle-ups and bankroll tracking are free. One plan covers both PokerNow Copilot and the PokerNow AI dashboard, and AI features run on monthly credits. Free includes 15 AI credits a month. Pro ($14.99 a month or $149.99 a year) includes 150. Super ($39 a month or $389 a year) includes 600 and 10 opponent dossiers.
How do I cancel?
Plans are managed on PokerNow Copilot. Open your profile and choose Manage plan to go to your PokerNow Copilot account page (pokernowcopilot.com/account), and cancel there. Your plan stays active until the end of the month or year you’ve paid for, then stops.
Which AI writes the reads?
Our AI analyzer, which runs on a leading large language model set up specifically to read PokerNow logs. The provider is listed in our privacy policy.
I uploaded the same log twice. Will my stats count it twice?
No. Each session is recognized by its contents, so your stats and opponent history count it once however many times it’s uploaded.
A player rejoined from another device. Do they count as two people?
Not if they kept their name. PokerNow gives a player a new id when they rejoin, so we match players by name instead. If they rejoined under a different name, you can merge the two names on the ledger before you settle up.
Who can see my games?
Your uploads are tied to your account. A saved ledger, a shared hand or a session recap is only visible to others if you share its link. Shared hands hide player names unless you choose to show them; a recap shows names, since it’s for the people who played. When you ask for an AI read, the stats it needs, and the hand itself for a hand review, are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to write it.
My game counts chips in cents. Does that work?
Yes. When you settle up, choose whether the ledger’s amounts are in cents or dollars, whichever your game uses.
Is PokerNow AI part of PokerNow?
No. PokerNow AI is an independent tool that reads the files PokerNow lets you download. It isn’t affiliated with PokerNow.club.
Is Copilot allowed in my game?
Only where everyone has agreed to it. Copilot is for practice tables, study, and friendly home games where the host and every player are fine with assistance tools. Never use it in a game that doesn’t allow them, and tell your table before you turn it on. More on the Copilot page.
