PokerNow ledger calculator: settle up in the fewest payments

At the end of a PokerNow game, the ledger shows every player’s buy-ins and cash-outs. Working out who pays whom by hand is slow and easy to get wrong; the calculator does it in the fewest payments.

Download the ledger

  1. In your game, open the Ledger.
  2. Select Download Ledger in the bottom-right corner. It saves as a .csv file.

Settle up

  1. Open Settle up and drop in the ledger. No account needed.
  2. Merge anyone who appears twice, like Jun and Jun (phone) after rejoining from another device.
  3. Choose whether your game counts chips in cents or dollars.
  4. Get the list of transfers.

Why fewer payments

Paying every winner a share of every loss means dozens of small Venmo requests. Matching the biggest losers with the biggest winners settles the same totals in far fewer transfers: at most one fewer than the number of players.
